My doctor recently diagnosed me with type 2 diabetes.  I know it is important to watch my sugar intake.  Is sugarless candy really sugarless?

Subject: fasting glucose question

My fasting glucose number was 127.  Does this sound like pre-diabetes or diabetes?  What should I do to control my blood sugar?

Answer: According to the American Diabetes Association pre-diabetes is defined as a fasting glucose between 100 mg/dl and 125 ml/dl.  It defines diabetes as a fasting glucose of 126 ml/dl or higher. It is a good idea to discuss this... (click for entire response)

Answer: Do not self diagnose yourself, speak with you doctor regarding your blood glucose levels.  There are three ways to control blood glucose: medication, a carbohydrate controlled diet, and exercise.  There are many medications that will help control blood glucose...
